Europe's largest DevOps event took place on March 8th & 9th, with over 4,000 attendees from 100+ countries.

The DEVOPS Conference saw this year's biggest gathering of developers, engineers, architects, team leads, consultants and management in the DevOps space.

Coming together for 50 talks across two full days, the DevOps community met for a series of presentations, demos, discussions and interaction.

If you missed the event here's our quick guide to some of the highlights, with direct links to videos and supporting content. Or head to thedevopsconference.com/videos to browse every talk.

Highlights from the conference's main stage

Winning the audience's vote for this year's most popular segment was The future of Kubernetes, a fireside chat with Kelsey Hightower, Principal Cloud Architect at Google. Kelsey gave his unique perspective on the role of Kubernetes in the coming years, as well as rating a number of other related tools on his now-infamous 'dope' scale.

Headlining the second day of The DEVOPS Conference was Dr Nicole Forsgren, Partner at Microsoft Research. Her talk, entitled Why even DevOp? looked at how DevOps is about much more than developing software - it can genuinely improve our everyday working lives.

In the security space, the audience was given a glimpse into how security culture can be built into development teams, courtesy of Simon Maple from Snyk and Per Olsson from Visma, in their talk Improve developer adoption of your security needs.

Other main stage highlights included:

"Continuous everything" attracted most viewers in the afternoon sessions

Opened by Nick Liffen from GitHub, the Continous everything track was most popular, delving into continuous delivery, continuous integration and more. Nick's talk covered the developer-first process and shifting left, and was followed later by insights from Ron Powell of CircleCI on CI/CD benchmarks for high-performing teams.

Elsewhere, the cloud & serverless track saw Google's Giovanni Galloro show us How to automate software delivery on multiple clouds, while we heard from Microsoft and M-Files about Transforming your business to SaaS and energy provider Fortum on what happens after successfully adopting DevOps and cloud native.

Other highlights from the afternoon sessions included clothing giant H&M's take on Integrating business with tech, HashiCorp & Telia's introduction to Zero Trust Security and something completely different from Christophe Bruchansky from Plural: Dev-Ethic-Ops.
