Keep Finland Happy is a tongue-in-cheek way to celebrate with pessimism

In 2018, the United Nations World Happiness Report saw Finland top the happiness scale and take first place as the happiest nation in the world.

Even though Finland still can’t quite believe it, we’re only happy when we’re ahead of Sweden and the other Nordic countries. That’s why, in the run-up to the 2019 World Happiness Report launch next week, Finland is getting a little bit nervous.

What if Denmark takes the crown from us? Or – the horror – our neighbor and arch-rival, Sweden?

So, with great trepidation, Eficode has launched a campaign to Keep Finland Happy. We’re asking our fellow countrypeople, or Finnish-minded people around Europe, or just generally happy-go-lucky people around the world, to do what is impossible to most Finnish people: express their happiness, in any way they can, on #KeepFinlandHappy.
