With Team ‘25 right around the corner, there’s a lot to be excited about when Atlassian’s next big event debuts in Anaheim. But without carefully planning your trip, you may become lost and confused with all the buzz.
I feel this pain, too, which is why I wrote this blog post! Below, I’ll cover the ten checkboxes you’ll need to fill out to make the most of Team ‘25. Because conferences should be more than PowerPoints and lanyards!
1. Pack your fun
Let’s face it: Walking around a mega-conference center can feel like an Olympic sport. You’ll be bouncing between keynotes, workshops, happy hours, and of course, the expo floor. Conferences and coffee are inseparable. And this is no ordinary coffee—this is Team ‘25 coffee, possibly topped with latte art in the shape of the Atlassian logo. (Okay, maybe that’s wishful thinking, but it’s definitely worth checking out!) Fun fact: Coffee is the best networking accessory. Stand by the coffee station, and you’re bound to run into interesting folks from across the globe.
6. Dive into sessions and keynotes
Yes, educational developments are happening at Team ‘25! Between collecting stickers and high-fiving your favorite plugin vendors, make time for at least a few keynotes or breakout sessions. With so many Atlassian experts and partners in one place, you can soak up the latest on Jira Service Management, Confluence best practices, or advanced DevOps workflows. Take notes (or at least look like you’re taking notes) and be prepared to impress your teammates back home with “industry insights.”
7. Channel your inner photographer
Your phone’s camera roll is about to become Atlassian-themed. Snap pics of the best booth setups, your favorite cosplays (someone always shows up in something weird), and your daily coffee creations. Don’t forget that epic group selfie with your new conference friends—because it didn’t happen if it’s not on social media, right?
8. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
Seriously, Anaheim can be warm, and the convention center will be huge. With all the buzz throughout the day, it can be easy to forget to keep yourself hydrated. Whether it’s water or iced coffee (Again, coffee is key), keep a beverage in your hand so you don’t wilt halfway through the day. Some booths might even offer reusable water bottles, so be sure to grab one if they’re being offered.
9. Explore the fun around Team ‘25
You’re steps away from Disneyland, so Mickey and friends are right there if you have an extra day (or extra energy). Even if you’re not hitting the rides, a quick stroll through Downtown Disney can add magic to your conference routine. Remember, you’ll be in line with families sporting matching Mickey ears—keep your Atlassian ID badge visible to spot your fellow conference geeks!
10. Bring your curiosity
Be ready to learn and have a blast. The best conference experiences happen when you dive in wholeheartedly—explore the expo, try a new product demo, strike up conversations with strangers in the lunch line, and, yes, get that ridiculous selfie with the giant inflatable Jira mascot. Embrace the synergy (and silliness) that only a global tech conference can deliver.
