The European Energy Exchange (EEX) was searching for a partner to validate the proof of concept for migrating their important business applications to the cloud, using a containerized architecture model.
As a DevOps-focused service provider with a deep bench of talent in the toolchain, pipeline setup, and ability to shift applications to a cloud-enabled environment, Eficode was contracted to support and drive the cloud transformation project within the EEX.
The Solution
After the proof of concept was closed and validated, Eficode set up the permanent toolchain and CI/CD processes that are used for production, in turn supporting five of EEX’s most important business applications.
The team also implemented a working pipeline using a CI/CD toolchain and automated deployment processes. The work was done in parallel as and when the various applications were ready to be migrated.
The Result
Within approximately one year, the Eficode team had implemented a fully automated delivery process via the pipeline/tooling setup. This complex project involved the cooperation of multiple vendors and in-house teams, each delivering their parts to the bigger picture.
