The main difference between the packages lies in the design of the flight itself. For longer journeys, the migration process is significantly more complex. To make the flight as comfortable as possible, we offer additional service points and ensure that you are well taken care of throughout the entire process—with extra pillows and beverages.

You work in a small company with a simple IT environment and few apps, which has limited or no internal resources for migration. This package is specifically designed to enable you to make a quick switch to the cloud, especially if your Atlassian Server license has expired and you don't have time for a customized adjustment.

We offer a fully managed migration with the goal of getting customers to the cloud as quickly as possible—without customizations and with a clear focus on efficiency. The package includes, among other things:

This package includes an unmanaged migration, where an experienced migration manager with strong project management skills supports the entire process. Additionally, another project manager may be available to ensure that the project is completed on time. Companies benefit from targeted support and access to internal resources without having to relinquish full responsibility for the migration. The package includes, among other things:

  • RACI Analysis: Clarification of roles and responsibilities
  • Cloud Blueprint: Transition plan with selection of the cloud plan and setup of the cloud site
  • Security & Trust: Security check and Security & Trust package that covers relevant compliance and security requirements in the cloud
  • User Management & Identity Provider: Management of users and integration of the identity provider
  • Change Management: Establishment of change management

Our Cloud Readiness Assessment is designed to clarify the organizational prerequisites. These vary from customer to customer. Generally, the larger the organization, the more complex the requirements. Smaller organizations often deal with simpler issues such as plan selection, data residency, or connecting an identity provider. In contrast, larger organizations focus more on IT security, compliance, and legal requirements.

Our Migration Readiness Assessment is designed to analyze the customer environment and propose what preparations need to take place before the migration. These vary from customer to customer. Among other things, unnecessary product data must be deleted (projects, custom fields, areas, users, and groups), critical business apps and integrations identified, and connectivity between the environment and the cloud ensured.

User and group management in Atlassian Cloud has been decoupled from the product. This allows administrators to manage product access and group management from a central location. For customers requiring advanced security features, Atlassian Guard offers “User Provisioning” and “Single Sign-on (SSO)” for selected identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Okta, or Google.

Atlassian Cloud products offer various plans with different features: Free, Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. Each plan has specific features tailored to the needs of teams and businesses. Here are the key points:

  • Free: Offered only for teams of up to 10 users (Jira and Confluence) / 3 agents (Jira Service Management) and is supported only by the Atlassian community. This plan is recommended for beginners.
  • Standard: Offers storage of up to 250 GB and 9-5 support without SLAs, usable by up to 35,000 users, although it targets small and medium-sized growing teams.
  • Premium: Offers unlimited storage, 24/7 support, high availability with SLAs (99.9% uptime), and advanced product features like Atlassian Intelligence or Advanced Roadmaps. Recommended for medium to large companies for whom Atlassian products play a central role.
  • Enterprise: Offers an unlimited number of cloud sites and products, Atlassian Guard Standard, dedicated 24/7 support with fast response times of up to 30 minutes, and high availability SLAs (99.95% uptime). Recommended for large companies or companies in regulated industries that need a comprehensive package and higher security standards

The Atlassian Cloud Platform provides a comprehensive ecosystem of various products and services aimed at enhancing collaboration and productivity within organizations. It consists of: Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Jira Align, Jira Service Management, Opsgenie, Statuspage, Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket, Compass, Atlassian Guard, Atlas, Rovo, and Loom.

Data is encrypted (“In Transit” and “At Rest”) when transferred to the cloud. To upload data securely and quickly to the Atlassian Cloud, central services located in the US-West (Oregon) AWS region are used. Migration data must be processed and configured to reach the target cloud site in the correct format. This data is permanently deleted after 30 days.

The Premium and Enterprise tiers of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence allow for IP whitelisting to enable access to these products only from specific IP ranges.
